Seriously, here goes - you have to make sure you get teh lost prophecies from the priest, ask him about it and he will give you some scrolls, if you ask him about everything he will give you some really interesting books too. Then you have to take the lost prophecies to the wise woman in the yurt up at the North coast so she can checkem out. I know it's a long way and all. I recalled back to my crib in Balmora, mage guild teleported to Aldruhn, then Silt Stridered to mar gaan, then banzaied due north over the foyada to the village.
