What are these sexy romances that are mentioned .. I have not had any ... I have a female as my lead .. and no guy's been making any advances either at me or at any of my other women .. like Nalia and Jaheira, Imoen, had Mazzy .. I have Keldorn and Anomen in the team too - Keldorn is married but what about this stud Anomen .. They all are pretty **** scared of my lead - looks like .. and except for Nalia constantly cribbing about "how are we helping the poor by trudging around here" sorta speech which makes me feel like whacking her ... Only Anomen and Keldorn keep praising each other .. What a dull group now I think of it!!

I should have kept Jan Jansen .. such a funny fellow .. Good burgalr too .. don't ask me why the hell I stuck with Nalia .. just that for some reason then I felt safe with her good hitpoints.

Anomen is the only romance available for females. Viconia, Jaheira and Aerie are the romances available for males. Then your race comes into consideration as well. Vic will only romance humans, half-elves and haflings. Jaheira only humans, half-elves and elves. Aerie will go for humans, half-elves, elves and gnomes. Not sure about Anomen. They start by themselves. If you're treating the other person badly they'll end.

Yeah, never leave home without Jansen!

sola is interesting from a intellectual point, since he discusses philosophy and you really have to think about your answers, but if you tell him to bugger off, he will, so you can romance tashia.

i have heard very good things about kelsy..do you guys plan to do a female romance with as much depth as kelsy???

i mean, i completely understand why sola and kelsey were guys, as the females who play bg 2 were stuck with dragon bait anoweenie.....

(take anoweenie to firkraags lair, haste him, and use him as human decoy while pelting him , not firkraag, with arrows...giggle..)

but seriously, whiney aerie, bossy jahiera and evil wench viccy??

tashia is good, but i am very envious of the depth and work put into kelsy...

Actually, the Solaufein romance doesn't interfere with any others, you can have him on the side regardless of what you do.

I know you're a Tashia fan but you can always take Kelsey in your party and NOT romance him. He's got a ton of other stuff to say and do besides romance the PC.

I'm not writing Rowan but I am working with her author, Wynne. Rowan's got a complex story and it will be told...uh, complexly.

As for me personally, my next project may be _my_ version of a Nalia romance, as I found Arnel's...unsatisfying. If/when I do it, it will include voicing (and re-voicing Nalia's existing lines for continuity's sake)...

I also have plans for a male half-elf rogue as an "evil romance" option. I don't currently have plans for a unique female romance character, though.

Dolohnja--I think Anomen only romances humans, half-elves, elves, and halflings. I've never had a problem as elf/human/half-elf, so you're probably playing as a dwarf/gnome/half-orc. If not... erm... *scratches her head* there either must be something wrong, or you must've called him an idiot--which can be perfectly understandable, because he is not the easiest person to love.

He improves drastically over time (although, sadly, his pompous soundset does not) and there's a lot more to him than it looks, though, if you're patient and give him a chance. He really is a needy person with a very low opinion of himself, ironically... the arrogance is just his attempts to counter the constant barrage of insults and venom from his father. Still, he may not be to your tastes, and if not, try out Kelsey. He's a bit more sensitive to a woman's needs.

Anyway, about Rowan: There are a couple of things that I noticed people complaining about in BG2. First, the fact that there is only one truly good thief, and that single good thief is taken out of the action for a good while. *sniffle* Second, that there are a lot of mods out there to make up for the lack of choice for female characters (Solaufein and Kelsey, not to mention the upcoming Valygar and Torgan and Scarab, or the possible Edwin and Haer'Dalis and Tamsin and and and... the list goes on. Not that, as a woman, I'm complaining--I think it's great!) but there are currently none (excluding Nalia) for men that aren't light-haired elven spellcasters. Third, I think it's rather disappointing and not very logical (although I understand the reasons behind it) that all these people who travel with you so rarely talk to you or really take the time to ask you about yourself. Only Jaheira has a few conversations with a female PC. You're risking your life with these people every day, and yet they don't seem to get that close to you unless they secretly want into your pants. Fourth, all of the romances excluded races, particularly dwarves and half-orcs. Fifth, while NPCs can gain a new alignment through a change of heart, PCs cannot.

The mod I'm doing is an attempt to get away from all that. Rowan will be a Chaotic Good human who is both a decent fighter and a decent thief. She will romance any race of male PC, and try to befriend a female PC as well. She will be interested in the PC's history and will try to redeem an evil male PC. If you prefer a CE alignment, you can act like your alignment and betray her, forcing an alignment change so that she fits into your party. You can tell her to shut up and be silent if you want, but if you'd rather just postpone the conversation, you can do that too. You can romance her if you're male, but if you'd rather just be friends, you can do that too.

Check out the forum sometime if you're interested; I'm still taking ideas and preferences, and there's a dialogue preview up as well.

I have to agree with Wynne on several accounts. Yes, Anomen's romance is a very easy one to blow off. He's sensitive, despite his snippy attitude and defencivness. It doesn't take much to end this romance because he's looking for guidance, and calling him an idiot would not be the recomended way to guide.

But if you do just try to breach his emotional walls, you'll find that it is, actually, a really fun and interesting romance. (Just wait till you get to ToB if things go really well!) And yes, Wynne, I wish they would improve his soundset as well. It's a little difficult to love a man who's always yelling "What is it now?!" at you.

By the way, I really am waiting to acquire Rowan. I read about the MOD on the website, and she seems to be quite an interesting charactor to have around. I'll definetly be waiting for that one to come out. Besides, Nalia's thieving skills stink and you can only have Jan in the group for so long at a time before he gets kinda old. (Sorry, Uncle Scratchy!)

j, i am running currently bun bun, the evil kensai sorceror hive mother beholder assassin, so kinda dont need a THIRD sorc in party...

yeah, i know sola uses solatalk global and this will not interfere with tashiaromance global, tashia can be disabled by aeriromance set to 2, and vice versa, but i am male, and went to catholic school....ickkkkk...

he is a killer npc, and i just told him to bugger off...whew..he was getting annoying but quite interesting starting dialog, until it got icky...

No she won't (read my first post in tis thread). Neither should Jaheira, so are you sure? Or did you perhaps start off the romance with another PC, then made a change?

I am sure that she is using dialogue from the romance section. She has used the "Where the hell are we going" dialogue as well as the nightmare one. However this could develope into something different or not at all, it's early in the game.

all you need to know is how to set tashiamatch and aerie match and jahirea match and viccy match and anoweenie match, to have any of them....

i have had some issues with all romance pack, one that sabre and i never was able to figure out...

but its ok, i prefer manual editing anyway...

ok, jan is funny, but seriously, and aqua chan, thank you for not making me feel like i am alone...

he is such a irritating bugger!!! i frequently wish i could tell him, like korgy to bugger off...

i did explore the new sola dialogs with jan, and though fun, not serioslsy funny...

but with immie..that is a riot!!!

immie does her impersonation of sola, and cracked me up...

but by far the funniest dialog is with that elf gigalo in copper, and edwina...

he tries to hit on edwina, and she starts responding....make you think, is it a side effect of the sex xhange, hormones and all, or id edwin gay???

and catches himself, and its too funny....

so get edwin, sttart the nether scrolls quest, and talk to that little elf gigalo...its totally worth it...

Was this the problem with Viconia? If so, I believe that I found a way around it - at least I thought so.
