One time, though, I managed to flame Foul without intending, all in the name of trying to make a lame joke. It was the first time I ever spoke to him, and I have avoided him ever since out of sheer mortification!

I haven't had much contact with Foul, but he seemed to enjoy flaming people every now and then, especially newbees - I suppose it's his kind of humour. I have tried to make some subtle or ironic jokes myself from time to time, mosty with the effect that people get confused and wonder what on earth I'm talking about.

T'is indeed.....and t is also used as a tool of persuasion for some of the more unruly clients....

Under normal circumstances, you would be quite right, @Georgi. Admitting to liking branding irons would be very dangerous except that I am convinced of DW's innocence: she is as pure as the driven snow. I have it on good authority.
