Patch in the works

Post by fable »

The Associate Producer in the Q&A Dept has announced over in the Morrowind official boards that a patch is being worked on.

Any idea on what exactly it would be patching (aside from annoying places to get stuck in with no hope of escaping)

If I'd known, I would have posted that information. ;)

hey, on the subject of getting stuck on things - when you get stuck (as I do often) open the console by hitting ~ and type "fixme" (no quotes), it will move you off of the object. Not the best thing since sliced bread, but close ;)

I do think they should work on the clipping issues heavily though, I just had a quest where I ended up having to kill a guy, right, who had the object I needed on him, right? and when he died, he fell into the wall so only his feet were sticking out, and I couldn't select him to get the item

I'm not really concerned about gameplay too much, some optimization to make it run better would be nice though - it runs ok for me but better would always be better.
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....

Ok, that clipping this has been bugging me. Thanks.

Most of the things I want changed for the game are pretty much aestetic changes. Things like making a better jump animation (I use third person view).

the levitation animation is also really crappy... i want more superman-style and less taking-a-stupid-walk-in-the-garden-style

Aegis,

I find the jumping animation hilarious. I was completely in awe over the detail of the world, and I decided that I would try third person view. I jumped in the game and thought I would die laughing. The designers took such care in creating the world around you, but couldn't take a few days and create a better jump animation. It really made me laugh.

I've already written one for a publication. If you want to write one for here, you should ask Buck. :)

Eh? I never heard back from him when I asked a couple of months ago. I'll write him.
