What is in the final save ?

First time I finished BG2 with my party, one of my NPC was killed and could not be resurrected (icon removed), so I deleted the final save (thru the menu) and reloaded an old save game. But when I finished the game again, it did not re-created this final save...

Is it important ? Or can I stay with a save game just before the final fight ? Does this final save allows to see what is the amulet the elves queen gives you ?

AFAIK the final save in BG2 is just before the final battle - similar to the final save in BG1.

you don't get all the added stats from the tears

It might be important if you want to continue with the same character in the expansion..No it doesn't let you see the amulet the queen gives you...

If you just want the stats the tears give you...use all but one..export you character

if your playing a muilt-player game you can do this and get all the stats.
