Help With Sencond Main Quest

Post by hogan »

So I went and retrieved the skull that the orc in the Balmora Mage's Guild wanted. I come back and she is gone! The orc has left the building! I've asked around and talking about her dissapearance is not even an option. Is it something I said? I'm level 20, is it to late to do the Main Quest? Any suggestions are very much appreicated.

Thanks

I don't think it's ever to late to do the main quest, to be honest if you kill certain people it tells you the game is over and something like sleeping will end u're game. I was toying around once and I kindof went kill crazy, lol

ha! I always wondered what would happen if one blew a fuse and started wacking key people...I definetly didn't kill her, so where the hell did she go? I would hate to go back to my last save with her still in the picture, which is SOOOOOO long ago!

Yea, tell me about it... I made a dwarf and got him to 5 but he can't go through non-door arches plus I had him setup the wrong way and my bonus with Endurance was maxed at level 4 :( .

I've restarted SOOOOOO many times, hehehehe
But at least the good thing is that I learn more with each new character...

I read about someone have this problem with that orc disappearing on another forum... I think RPGdot spoiler forum? I'll take a quick look. I think it must be a bug, maybe theres some way to fix it with the console or the editor.

Bah, I can't find what I was thinking of - you might try posting in the spoilers forum on the main boards for the elder scrolls or searching there.
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....

Similar Problem

I have a similar problem with that Orc only this time, i didn't got the chance to talk to her about the Quest, she's just gone and she nowhere to be found in the Mage Guild.

I assume it's a bug? Anyone found out how to fix it, if it can be fixed?

Important NPCs have a nasty habit of disappearing. Had it happen to me twice. Well, three times if you count the silt-strider with nobody attending it. I tried to bugjack it, to no avail.

2 things to try with the console (hit ~):

First, type "ra" (no "s). This resets actors, so if the orc fell through the floor, back he/she comes.

Second, if still not there, type [placeatpc "npc name"1,1,1] (with the proper name for the npc and no []s. This will bring the npc back right where you are standing, so be sure you are standing where they should be.

@Odonatathrope

Thanks, i have found another way to do it through the TES and it worked but i didn't knew about the console commands, i'll keep that in mind next time a NPC disappears. :)

I read somewhere that the orc can vanish but reappears later on. Someone else had the same problem and used TES Editor to bring the orc back. Later on, the person found that he had TWO orcs because the original returned. If this happens you can just kill off the 'copy'.
