Funny, cause if you ask me it looks like an axe. I've never seem a mace that bladed. Actually, it reminds me of a D&D axe I had called the Shedder. It was a 4 bladed axe that spun real fast when you yelled it's name and it tore up armor in no time flat :D

A little Monty Hall but I was level 20 so it could've been worse. I just LUVED the concept of having a weapon that when you yelled SHEDDER it started spinning. I played a joke on a thief I hated with a passion in town and left it out for him to steal and when he got close I yelled Shedder and it about took his arm off :D

nice

Where'd you find that mace? My barbarian could use it. In one on the kazillion books in the game, it mentions Dremora (or whatever they are) weapons designed by a guy. He made a whole bunch it seems, one mace was named Scourge. I'll have to assume that's it. I can remember the book, there are just too many, but it was about those deamon warrior guys who guard many of the ruins in the land. Neat stuff.

(And "no", I don't read all the books, but I happened to glance over this one . . . I heard there are over 40 novels worth of writing in this game from all the books)

you won't believe it but that mace is really easy to get you just need to get there open a lock and take it, no sneak needed no guards no nothin ;)
You just have to know where to go ... well you need to fly for a bit (couple secs) :p
Lemme know if you prefer a pm or a spoiler here.

Have fun!

Fill me in

A personal message is fine (page 7 of the C's if you feel like e-mailing me), or you could do a black-letter spoiler in case someone else needs to find it. Thanks a bunch, I feel sort of guilty using an Ordinators Ebony Mace. Well, not THAT guilty.

Ok here's the spoiler for mace location:

1) Do you know where Tel Fyr is ?
No --> goto 2
Yes --> goto 3

2)Tel Fyr is a small island s/w of Wolverine Hall, it has only one building and you can get there only by swim/fly/foot. It's near the coast.

3) Enter the building and go to the owner (Left inside door and then fly for the floor up - Telvanni style)

4) You can loot anythin here that is locked even if someone is watchin you (owner challenge). There're a couple high locks here (even 100's) so if you got low security not for you.
Do not take anythin on tables shelves etc if not in the usual ways (sneakin unseen and the like)

5) The mace is here (don't remember exactly if in the chest or in the wardrobe) along with a ultracool light cuirass enchanted for CONSTANT 60% res magicka! (Boot of blinding speed popped in my mind ...)

Have phun, good luck and lemme know how it went :p ;)

super locked

Note: this could be a spoiler

I went to Tel Fyr and talked to the guy in charge. I got those boots, opened every chest in his dungeon (and house) and still found no mace. There is one chest left which my Fighter can't pick (we aren't great at lock picking). Two scrolls of E's Lock Splitter later (open 100pts) the chest is still locked. In a fit of computer-generated rage, I off the guy.

First of all, he has my key. Which is nice, 'cause there's the mace. Secondly, he's part of the Main Quest, so my game is ruined. I assume I'll have to come back there, otherwise I'll do without.

Thanks anyway.
