Robe of St. Roris
I've found this robe (pic provided ) and i can't figure out why the devs included it in the game ... it's like cheating! You CAN'T die with this one ... i'm not using it 'cause it's lame and not funny and i suggest everybody to stay away from this one if you can't avoid to use it once obtained ...

Where did you find it? The effects look sort of funky, kind of like they don't belong on an item with constant effect.

Yeah, many others have found this as well and most think using it would just about defeat the purpose of playing.
It allows a vampire to walk around in the middle of the day without worry, it allows one to take on upwards of 4 Ordinators at once, and one can easily survive a dip in lava. Also you can just about dive forever.

I've found this notorious robe, but it doesn't have a constant effect in my game. Instead it's just another "cast on use" item that restores 15 hitpoints and 15 fatigue points if you select and cast the appropriate item-spell. I thought it was supposed to constantly restore 15 points. What a disappointment.

It has been changed by a patch, so in GOTY it is not what it used to be. Common option was it was making the game cheeze, and developers, it seems, listened to that.
The robe in question is part of one of the great house quests. See walkthrough for more info.
Yes, but IMHO the question in fact was about why the famous robe actually appeared to be so weak. It was legendary for Restore Health CE in first place after all, and for the initial release of the game there were a lot of talking about where to find it and if it wouldn't make game too easy - until a patch came and changed it.

You can enchant items to have essentially the same qualities as ROSR so I don't see what the big deal is.Anyone with some cash 100k approx can approximate its effects. If you like being an invulnerable death machine, have at it. Otherwise pump up your unarmored and see if you can beat the game naked. Thats the beauty of this game you can do what ever you want

If you get the robe at a low level it doesn't matter because a powerful enemy could just kill you before you heal but if you were at a high level you'd have enough health on backup as you heal making you invincable. If I ever found it I would stop using it when I get to a higher level. As I'm on GOTY edition on both PC and Xbox I will never get a constant effect version.

Is this the constant effect one? Or the other one? Cos it could be that you are using the wrong one...
