Armour question

Post by Loredweller »

I'm very curious about armour. At least at the start you can find good light armor, however medium and heavy is almost out of question. You may get chitin one with armour rating 10, while all medium and heavy have much lower numbers. It's hardly understandable and even hardly nice because heavy and medium armour besides spear are one's only source of END.
Is there any cheap enough heavy/medium armour matching, say, chitin things?
TIA,
L.

Well, medium and heavy armor tend to be more expensive than light armor - chitin armor is a great value. The reason you are seeing better ratings for the light armor is probably because you are more skilled in Light Armor: for instance a character with a 5 skill in Light armor might see a "1" armor rating on that same piece you are seeing a "10" on, and when you develop your Light Armor skill more that same piece might say "15" to you. If you are more skilled in light armor than heavy and medium armor are going to look useless to you.

Like you say, its worth wearing some heavy or medium armor just to get some Endurance bonuses. My character right now for instance is wearing medium chestplate and boots, light greaves and shoulders, and heavy gloves.
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
