Which NPC's do you have in your party?

I allways summoned alot of monsters or elementals before summoning the demon-knights. Then i buffed my characters up with some defensive and offensive cleric and mage spells (protection spells, bless, etc).

Then i put my summoned beasts too the south of the room so they would hold of like 3 demon-knights. My characters would then defeat the 3 demon-knights north of the room and then finish of the rest.

Hiya

Are you soloing? Or who do you have in your party? More fighter intensive or magic orientated?

Anyway, here is what i do (usually a more melee intensive party), there are no tricks to it, and I am assuming you cant yet use TOB proficiencies. I usually cant by this stage.

Pile everyone into a corner. Top right for example, right by the statue. Buff with whatever appropriate protections you have.
Summon as many pets as possible (I like to use fire elementals). Have them as front row, south of me so that the knights will pick on them as the closest enemies. Hopefully when the knights spawn (I think there are five), two of them will be out of sight near the south door. One will spawn right in the middle / back of your group, one just south east of your position, and one west on the other side of the statue.

Have everyone, except the pets hit the knight that spawns near you. Have the pets intercept the other two nearest knights. Then one by one focus all your party's power on one knight at a time. The pets should be absorbing most if not all of the hits.

when you have dealt with the top three knights. Re-Group, re-buff, and set off to deal with the final two.

Basically just divide and conquer. If these knights all get to within range where tehy are all whacking you you are not going to last long.

Any of this help?
Good luck. :)

@ whitestone:

Uncover the room where they spawn first then retreat back to the little stone bridge. Buff heavily- resist/remove fear is essential as they like symbol:fear. Lay thief traps if you can. Have some tank stand on the bridge near where the flame strike goes off...its useful if the tank is protected from level drain... and summon some pets to help including one crappy pet (monster summoning1 is good for these). Send crap pet up to the altar. Have your tank creep into the knights' room and uncover them ONE AT A TIME and run back to where your party/pets are waiting. The cloak of mirroring may be useful for your tank too. I think this absorbs the demon knights' powerword/ symbol spells. Have at them!

Although the demon knights have some magic resistance, dont be afraid to use spells...the kuo toan stun bolts also work I believe.

Above strategy will only work if you're not running the sola mod. Then it becomes a bit harder... :D

Lure them out 1by1 that is the best tactic (and the only if you're soloing)

Also traps work great........realy great!!!!
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Basically what you must do is protect yourself from fear, stun and level-drain. If you do that then you should do fine.
You can't handle the truth!
