Make sure your video/sound card drivers are up-to-date. What type of error are you getting?

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

when installing disc one, after about 25% complete, "Abort, Retry, or Ignore" windos box appears for 'bif'(?) files, u can retry and it sometimes contiues. at 99% complete after having to ignore some files another box appeared, this time terminal error and it shut install down.

Should BGII run on windows XP? it does on Win2000. Should I email the manufactures? Maybe its my XP faulting. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure what your problem is, but SoA/ToB works fine with XP for me. Pretty sure it's a problem with your installation cd's though. Had a prob the other day reinstalling D2 where it would freeze and crash during play disc installation. Borrowed friends play disc and installation completed fine.

Clean your CD's with a soft cloth. Also, check the section on Installation problems here.
