So, Ode is part of it i accept that, but you and Eehardt aren't, is it so much to ask for you to confine you spam to another thread (perhaps a thread for yourself?)

All three of us worked on the story, and it does feature all three of us in it. It's simply that we only have one entry as yet, I'm sure we'll be coming up with more as time goes by, and I won't necessarily be the one posting it.

Why don't we wait and see what the DFs have to say on the matter?

@Sleepy: WE of the Rolling Thunder wanted to wait how our FIRST Post in the Story was received by the DF's before posting more of our "lives"....but we can - and will evacuate this thread if you and/or the DF's think it best.

I agree with the others. I will delete my posts in this thread on your request, Sleep (except this one), but I suggest the DF Story remains till we get some feedback from the other Dark Flames.

I assure you that not one of the current DF's will wish to wade through your Slurring to converse about story ideas, this thread has had it's fair share of spam in the past but it is usually on topic.

Is there actually a concerted reason to do it in this thread?

Don't misunderstand me, i don't mind you all posting in the story thread

As i am sure most of the DF will be happy with some new arrivals, i do however not see a point in spamming this thread. It will not endear you to the DF and it would certainly taint whatever story you had laid down.

I feel free to back down on my points if the DF say so

I don't mind deleting most of my previous posts in this thread (all those not related to the story), but it'd still be appreciated if the DFs could say if they had any problems with our being here.

EDIT-I probably should leave the posts here for today so the DFs can see what was going on. So far I've deleted one in which we offer Mysteria a drink, is all.
EDIT #2-My apologies if we annoyed you, @DFs. It was all in fun.

Sorry, I'm kinda new at this. Besides, it's hard writing an introduction for your characters while keep a sense of humor about the whole thing.

It's all in good fun, is the important bit.

@Mysteria - maybe the vortex dropped them in from the Sigil? Their characters will have a bit to learn about forgotten realms!

Maybe they have new skills to teach the DF too?

@Ode - you haven't annoyed me, I was just a little concerned when I saw you had moved your truck into DF discussion - yes, we spam here too, but we do generally use this place for story discussion and sometimes even at our spam rate questions can be lost. Maybe we should set up a separate DF bar?

@Ode, what are your plans for your characters? is this a cameo appearance or do you intend to stick around?

Speaking personally, I have no problem with people joining in, as long as they remain respectful of other peoples writing (ie reading it) and the story remains logical and easy to read.

I got upset before when I felt the story had been hijacked!

Certainly for the last six months or so, I feel the writing in DF has been cohesive, with not too many story tangents...

well Ysh and DW had already drawn up plans for a tavern, but we never turn down cheap labour!

A seperate DF bar, maybe in the not-too-distant future, but right now we've resurrected one of the oldies.

We'll be sticking around in the story, fulfilling a sort of travelling merchant role. Not really cameo, not quite full-time, we just need to get settled in. For the moment it'd be best to think of us as a sort of Saemon Havarian, only without the repeated doublecrossing. Beldin and Eerhardt will be making contributions too; we all wrote this one but only one person could post it.

As for future integration into the story, we'll have to see what we can hammer out. I suspect our role will change over time depending upon what happens and how you guys want to include us.

EDIT-And we are familiar with Faerun, it's just that we weren't sure where we'd ended up this time. When you're plane-hopping like we do it's easy to get disorientated

. Now that we're sure it's the Prime Material we'll probably settle in better.
