Some unique bugs? (Spoilers pertaining to Anomen)

Post by LadyLuthien »

I'm a newbie here in great need of help. :)

Has anybody else had the game forget that you've completed some of the quests involving Anomen? After he's passed his test, and gotten romantically involved with me, discovered Saerk really did kill his sister, etc, I chased after him and talked him down, got him to rejoin my party. Now Sir Ryan Trawl is saying it's time for him to take his test. Anomen is already Sir Anomen, already Lawful Good, already part of the Order of the Most Radiant Heart.

Is there anything I can do to prevent these errors from happening? The idea of going through all these quests again just gives me a headache to think about.

Another weird thing I've encountered is the messengers in the slums. They seem to be multiplying exponentially and following me around. They follow me, they get in my way so I can't go through certain doors, and they even attack monsters I encounter. I'm wondering if I'm eventually going to have to just lead them all into a room somewhere and just fireball them all, regardless of my Chaotic Good alignment.

Does anybody know a solution to these problems? A patch I could download?

Thank you!

If you haven't already, download the official patch from here if you have SoA only, or from here if you have ToB installed.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
