Anyone download the Throne of Bhaal teaser?

Post by Krimmy »

What did you think?

Personly it didn't do much for me, my antisapation for the expansion is already pretty high and it didn't really show enough to get it any higher.

Yeah, I dl'd it. Reminded me of the trailer for the D&D movie it a way, at least the opening fly-through. I guess the teaser is meant to give people some kind of idea of the general mood of the expansion; "The Siege of Saradush" and all that. I liked the fire giants.

D&D movie trailer? You're bringing back all the memories of laughing hysterically at my computer screen while playing it over and over (after I overcame the my disgust on the first viewing).

Anyway, the teaser was short of awe-inspiring but it seemed more elaborately rendered than anything in BG2, with the giants and all.

It didn't do much in terms of exciting me (more) for ToB either.

And I hope they find a replacement for the dragonslaying tune. I'm rather sick of it...

Since I crawled out from under a rock just a few moments ago, I have no idea what this D & D movie is. Could someone enlighten me, since the concept seems hilarious. If anyone has a pointer to where I can find the above mentioned trailer, I would be most grateful.

After waiting 1 hour, 10 minutes for it to download, it did feel a little spartan. But graphically, it was very impressive :)

I thought it could have done with some footage of the actual game, like the NWN trailer.

that was so lame...it had absolutely nothing to do with the game, and had no screen shots at all...

@cheesemage: I think that the magical golems are the ones that look just like clay golems but are the same size as the iron golems.

Frankly, this trailer is not worth the effort. Half the trailer is the box, the other half the briefiest of glimpses at the siege.

Not worth it for modem users, unless you use something like GetRight to handle it while you go to bed, like I did :)
