@Viv: I've read the "Malloreon" and "Belgariad" series several times over the last years, and I've always wondered what happened to Beldin after the end of the saga....now I try to make it fit in ;) ...

Okay, now I feel stupid. I have the Belgariad (including 'Belgarath the Sorcerer' and 'Polgara the Sorceress' etc..) sitting in my book case...and I forgot about Beldin!!! I always did like him, though Silk was a close second for cutest ;) Something about rat faced little men with no scruples...

Not quite...he and Vella changed into their "other" forms as a matched pair of hawks and flew off - never to be seen again...

"My" Beldin picks up his life some centuries into his personal future... ;) ;)

He was always my favourite character because he wasn't deceived by appearances - after all HE was the ugly one ;) ...AND he was the most intelligent of all the main characters... :D
