tactical advice...get shields!! and console commands for exquisite???

Post by UserUnfriendly »

this is funny, i was using orcish warhammer while my daedric supersword was recharging, and naturally had shield of demons equipped, and i got jumped by some orcs while i was set to spell cast...she blocked the blow!!! so if you dont have weapon equipped, or in spell mode, even if you have 2 handed weapon along, if you have shield you can block the blow!!! besides, you can have shield equipped while you have two ahnded weapon as weapon, so if you have a mondo enchantment on shield, mine summons a golden saint for 80 seconds, great for soul gem harvest or combat, saints really kick ass, much better than any other summons...

try dropping one while levitating amidst some monsters...look out below!!! once hit a big bug with a ghost...funny...

so there is no reason whatsoever to eveer not have shields equipped... they rock in mw, not like bg 2

does anybody have console commands for exquisite clothes and rings and amulets???

have 2 filled with saints, ready for some enchanting, constant effect, but currently only have 3 exquisite clothes left.....

with constant effect, the greater the enchant capability, the better, greater magnitude of constant effect, so exquisite stuff is the best, and you should never use saint gems on anything else...

same for armor, but NOT for weapons....

teh greater the soul gem is the better factor, in fact, the greater teh enchantment rating of a weapon, the easier it is to create a worse weapon, cause you get tempted with a higher enchantment rating to have each strike do a higher magnitude of damage, that is actually a fallacy, since you really want a weapon that uses little charge per hit, so it lasts longer in continuous combat....

hey, this may be why daedric weapons have so little enchantment rating, since the curcial factor is the gem quality and soul in the gem....

so i still have no home yet, can i just leave stuff lying around my fav place, mage guild in balmora??? and it wont decompose like in bg 2????

so if anyone has item codes for exquisite stuff, please post...i gotta learn editor someday, but too tempting to abuse it.

:p ;) :)

Whenever I've equipped a two-hander, my shield has been removed automatically. You sure this isn't a result of your messing around with controls that no human being was ever supposed to see? ;)

Fable, it's so indeed, i've experienced it myself. If one equips a shield before a 2-handed item, in casting or neutral mode it's showing as equiped and works if one's attacked while one hasn't switched to weapon mode. Try 3rd person view, you'd see yourself.

I'll give it a shot, and report back.
