Problems with BG2

Does anyone know if there are any probelms when you install it on windows xp?

also, sometimes the game will keep freezing and closing when i reach a certain spot in the game, and then i have to reinstall it

for example, i played for a while and then suddenly everytime i would rest, the game would crash

please help me with thie problem..

The only problem with Windows XP is that the 3D accelleration might not work at first. You will have to update you graphic card's drivers, then it will work fine.

BG2 has big problems with windows XP, you'll get a lot of errors, and almost everyone can't talk to you.
The latest BG2-SoA patch or BG2-ToB patch will fix this
