Of course you shouldn't feel insulted - it's just a balanced, objective assessment ;)

@Georgi: I do not diagnose myself as apt for shock-therapy, since my type of disturbances do not usually respond well to that treatment.
are you saying polar bears aren't eminently cute and huggable?
Hm, let me put it this way: I'm just saying polar bears resembles you a lot.

Yes, I like that as well. In myself however it manifest itself more as contempt for what other persons are saying rather than contributing to a wider social standard like your friend. :(
Aha, I see. Well, since I strongly believe in the power of social model learning, I think contribution in the form of observable behaviour has the best effect! :)

I wouldn't say that - I am the truth in this case, and you can certainly argue with me :D

Yes you would if you didn't like me, but hopefully you like me :D

*sigh* I have to leave home in about 3 hours. I'm still not tired, so it looks likes I'm going to be up all night.

Well, at least you have the wonderful Dottie to keep you company :) ;) :D

I think my caffeine OD has worn off (either that or all this hugging has worn me out... :D ), so I'm going to catch a few hours of sleep before my exams.

Have a nice conference, CE *hug* :D

Bye Dottie *hug* :D

Everybody is flirting with Georgeus - even I :D

No avail? Are you suggesting I'm not impressionable?

The logic fallacy "argument of popularity" (ie most people in the world eat rice so it must be the best food) does not imply that something popular is necessarily not good :D

I think Georgi is just irrestistable :)

But truth is impressionable in a way - since it changes and it depends on who's perceiving the truth.

True, But it still give me this eerie feeling that I've done something wrong.

Isnt it then the perception wich changes rather than the truth itself? Perhaps it doesnt really matter in most cases, but it sounds like hybris to say the truth is dependant on our view of it. And in this case, If im truly are too stupid to come up with the idea my lack of introspection wouldnt change that fact? ;)

Sorry for the delay, I had to eat a little, then I fell asleep for 1.5 hours, which was good. Now it's time to ring a taxi so I must pack a few things, like the computer I'm now typing this on!

The question of whether truth is absolute and objective, objective, or relative is a very long discussion. Let me just say I believe in an objective reality, but not an absolute. The wavelenght I percieve as heat and an insect perceive as a reddish colour, has the same objective reality (wavelenght, energy amount) behind it even if I and the insect percept it differently. However, opinions and moral questions are not constant as the particle in my example is.

Eh, let me continue another time, I'll miss my stupid ferry otherwise, the conference is in the Archipelago.

Bye!

This is so typical of my life lately, the one time Georgi feels friendly, even giving out hugs and I'm not here to join in the spam.*sigh*

Lousy hypnotherapist appointment. :D

And I think truth is subjective. My subjective truth at the moment is similar to CEs-my internet connection keeps disconnecting me.
