Whats up with colour spray.

Post by Bruce Lee »

Every time I play through Irenicus dungeon, and I have done that many many times now, this spell disturbs me. Why does it work on me? I thought it was supposed to only work on level 4 and less level characters. And also aren't elves supposed to be highly resistant to sleep?
Can someone explain this?

Elves are also supposed to be immune to paralisis, and are not supposed to be allowed to be resurected. Not all the rules are the same.

Simple - because the game cheats. I'm not sure if this was due to programming error or if it was deliberately designed that way, but the Radiant Mephit's version of Color Spray affects creatures with more than 4 hit dice as well.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Will a Colour Spray cast by the PC or Imoen work on the mephits, or are they too high of level for that?

I'm on the lookout for some poetic justice.

The mephits are all pretty much level 3, so Color Spray will work on the ones not immune to Sleep.

I think that the Elf resistance is in the game; I seem to recall that human characters tends to go unconscious more often then elven ones from the dragon wings buffet attack. Not too sure though, haven't play the game for a while.

the game cheats

on diffent diffuctly levels there is diffrent chances

but yes it cheats
Ancient times they had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies

"I'm invinceable"
"your a loony"

I'd rather be rich than stupid.

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.
