i want something original too!

Post by Arcane »

TheDude posted a thread sometime ago on advice for what class he should play next.

so far i have played-
1)NG HE blade
2)Monk
3)sorceror
4)kensai/thief
5)beserker

i want some challenge (although not as ludicrous a challenge as the beast master) i was wondering whether you could give me any advice

although i was thinking a undead hunter or f/m but thats not much of a challenge...

thanks

Try an Archer.

You plan on solo, I take it? Otherwise there is no problem with a Beast Master...

Why not try a Wizardslayer? Or a Druid? (I prefer Avengers myself.)

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

I didn't find the Wizard Slayer to be that much different from regular fighters except for the magic resistence and spell distruption, those things are sorta minute when you've got other spellcasters in your party though.

I've been trying to think of creative characters myself but the only thing I can think of is a duel dagger weilding thief. Mainly because i've never played as a theif before.

Try a plain vanilla fighter with GM in darts and staves, and nothing else. That should be different enough. ;)

The Avenger :) best druid kit IMO. I have written loads about my druid in various threads, I can provide links if you are interested. The Avenger is by no means an uber char, and is a tactical challenge from time to time, but the spell book is fantastic and you will find you can quite comfortably tank an Avenger soon enough.

They're not bad in WK, but remember they don't fare well in melee and you will still need a decent no. of fighters. They're extremely good as supporting characters in battle and can disrupt enemy mages like no-one's business, but if you send them into the front-line they will most likely die in any reasonably difficult encounter.

The problem is that you've tried a wide variety of characters, and so there won't be much variation for you other than playing with different characters. A ranger/cleric might be a bit different too, and a wizard-slayer would be a bit unususal, but once you've done these I'm not sure.
