ok, in no particular order:
1--Soul trapping, if you have more than one gem, which one does it use? One time it seemed to depend on power(>??)
creature trying to trap. Used greater soul gem(had lessor on me)
and trapped ASh Zombies(they attack me now when I sleep hehheh). jSoul went to greater soul gem, value, 20k.
2---soul trapping doesn't always seem to work, including spell
and a dagger soul trapping. whats with that? Random event,
saves produce soul etc.???
3---Where are Golden Saints? Want to fight and trap one??
4---How da freak do you get INTO the puzzle canal. ok, its a puzzle, but all the gates lead OUT and each floor is kinda limited,
one tunnel, two ways out each side, total four, ok, I'm puzzled.Need it to compete me pilgrimage....

Questions Questions**Spoiler**
the soul gem that is used depends on the power of the creature you want to trap, as well as on the gems you have, for example: if you only have grand soul gems then even if you trap a rat it's soul will be trapped in the grand soul gem, cause that's the only one you got. On the other hand if all you got is a common soul gem and you try to soul trap a golden saint... well that's just not gonna happen.
The puzzle canal has an entrance on one of the levels into the center where the real puzzle is. Just keep looking carefully and you should find that entrance.

Easiest way to find golden saints is to summon one, but it takes a high conjuration skill + the appropriate spell (I believe you can buy it in Tel Branora, Therana's tower from Maryon) or a scroll of summon golden saint. Not sure who sells the scrolls.
Ascended sleepers work just as well for constant effect enchanting, and you can predict where to find those.... any sixth house base, or any citadel within the ghostfence.
