Fallen Paladins

Post by Andaar Amberfire »

I have a RP character who is a Lawful Evil Fallen Paladin. I was thinking of playing as him in BG2 and go as a paladin so that he could "fall". But I wasn't sure if the alignment of Anti-Paladins changed so i just went Lawful Evil Fighter. Are Anti-Paladins *exactly* like fighters? i.e. can they get grand mastery of weapons and lose the restrictions of the paladin class (or kit)? Also, does their alignment change? For example, I would want my Anti-Paladin to be 'consumed' by evil and become Lawful Evil.

From what I remember, a Fallen Paladin does not gain the benifits of the Fighter class. They are still restricted to two points of proficience, three for Two Weapon Fighter. The alignment does not change either, you'll remain Lawful Good.

You can download the Valen NPC Mod - from the creator of the Solaufein Romance Mod. There is an Anti-Paladin kit that you can install in that pack.

I'm not sure concerning weapon mastery (I didn't actually play my experiment for very long), but I do know that your alignment does not immediately change upon the loss of paladinhood. I would SK that in order to reflect your PC's new outlook on life.

I'm also pretty sure that you lose the restrictions of your paladin kit, if you have one. I'd be interested in learning the skinny concerning the weapon proficiencies.

Ah...I see Sabre posted while I was responding. That would be the skinny I was seeking. :)

Do you have to install the Valen mod to get the anti-paladin kit?

@ Ode; you have to download Valen but you don't have to install her...the mod comes in two packages, Valen and anti-paladin.

Anti-Paladin :D ispell magic with every hit (any weapon)
Up to Grand Mastery in weapons
Doesn't receive 'Paladin' skills, I think this is in terms of spells.
(best Character in the game IMO)

Fallen Paladins:Become limited fighters (no spells?), ie, only two weapon proficiency slots

Evil Paladin: Edited Paladin with Shadow Keeper.

Hope that helps

Sweet, thanks for that. I think I'll download that later on tonight.
