A tiny update

I was browsing the net and found this :
Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Seisohen
It's says to be an OVA

As for RPG lovers there's an anime called .hack// Sign the resume says about RPG onlineplayers who somehow stuck in the RPG world. And since then they must play inside the online world to searc for a way out

<EDIT>As for those football frenzy, you might remember the popular Captain Tsubasa anime. This anime is quite popular that it has several games on consoles. Now there's new series called Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002

@Tamerlane-have you seen the first Patlabor? I thought it was better, myself, but I liked both of them.

When you get a free weekend let me know and I'll ask you around for an all-night Neon Genesis Evangelion session (as in just watching the movies, not my other preferred type of 'session')

I didn't catch the Bubblegum Crisis series, I'll have to see those at some point.

Watched Fist of the north star recently. Well, I tried to atleast. Suffered through about 1/3 of it before I gave up. Just want to issue a warning that if you see this movie heading your way - Run.

"Fist of The North Star" or "Hokutonoken" was first published as shounen manga or boys comics. It has lots of fighting scene mostly brutal ones. You're not gonna be surpised if you can see some head crushing and several violence not to mention blood all over the anime.

On the other hand Masami Kurumada's "Saint Seiya" which also have fighting scenes is more lighter than "Hokutonoken". The story is much more better :) I'll write some of Saint Seiya stuff later (i'm a big fan of Seiya ;) )

You didn't see Bubblegum Crisis on TV, shame on you :p

I actually saw it on video, well the first half anyway. The local video shop has a first class Anime section  Thankfully SBS showed the rest on TV :D

As for the NGE session that would be cool. I saw the first few episodes on video, including the odd show on TV. But my Saturday nights are my social nights so I don't get to watch too much TV.

Damn SBS, why can't they show stuff on the week nights  :D

I was out a lot on Saturdays back then, until I ran out of money for entry fees/public transport. I used to ask my parents to tape it but they always forgot or mum would have to tape The Bill   And my own TV (not my parents' one) doesn't get SBS well.
I've got Castle of Cagliostro and Akira too, I used to have Patlabor but I leant it to someone and I forgot who :o , and I'm going to get my copy of Battle Angel Alita back from my friend who has been borrowing it for a few years now. And of course the wonderful Ghost in the Shell, a must-have IMHO.

I feel I should warn you, once you've done the all-night NGE session nothing quite seems to compare...I have yet to try it roasted though.

I keep hoping to see an Akira/The Bill spin-off where Tetsuo goes mad and destroys the whole of Sun Hill. :D
I wish I still had Ninja Scroll. *sigh*

I've got that site bookmarked already, thanks anyway. :)

I've read about Perfect Blue, but haven't had the chance to see it yet. Maybe I'll just have to give in and buy the R version of Ninja Scroll, instead of waiting for SBS to screen the M version again.

I've tried doing that, waiting for them to screen Cagliastro. Missed it a second time, after waiting ages. Thankfully I was third time lucky :D

I'll be posting a "Saint Seiya" resume sometime next week. For now, knock yourself out with this screen capture from "Saint Seiya : The Hades Chapter"

Good thing this manga stuff came up. :D
I've borrowed a dubble cd from a friend of mine, "Fist of the NorthStar" and frankly... it looks silly. :-S I like Dragonball Z a lott but this looks strange.
I thinks it's a movie but it needs to be installed, anybody else has this thing... what is it and is it worth installing?

Well I bought the classic Akira on DVD yesterday. The movie that started it all looks truly beautiful and the dubbing has thankfully had a make over. And the option to watch the original Japanese version, oh the joy :D

Nothing quite like watching the Anti-Hero Tatsuo slowly descending into madness.

Has anyone seen Spriggan?

This has been out for a while here, but only recently has there been a heavy publicity push. I hear it has Otomo(?) behind it. The guy who created Akira and Ghost In The Shell. Any info would be appreciated, as I have no intention of buying a dud. ;)

I havnt seen spriggan yet, and have no idea what it is. If it is of the same quality as GItS or Akira it would certainly be nice though. :)

If you have some time (perhaps a week or so) I can try to see it and give you a review if noone else here can. (though I suspect Kid1431 will probably know everything about it. :) )

Cheers Dottus, I've heard quite a bit about Spriggan, but nothing specific.

@Tammy-What's the redubbed scene where the Colonel is arguing with the council like on DVD? That bit's my favourite example of bad dubbing ever. :D

You talking about Akira right? Well I haven't really checked the dubbing for that scene. I'll get back to you on that :D
