Vendors with Cash?????????

Post by dreschler »

Well I spent about 20 hrs real time and finally took out the dren slavers. Now I have a ton of items to sell but no vendors have much cash. Does anyone know of any vendors who have a lot of gold? If so who and where????????

In the town of caldera lives a civilized scamp.
His prices are great but his wits are damp.
He lives with the orcs up stairs I am told
You don’t need to haggle he has 5000 gold!

Download and install the shakti book of secrets mod. Once you find and acquire it, it has lots of neat information, including which vendors have 5,000+ gold.

The scamp is a very "dangerous" character, in that he can generate unlimited gold for you in a very easy way (which I won't tell, but it involves soul trapping) which totally unbalances the game.

There is a more legitimate way though, head over to http://www.morrowindfiles.com and get the "fence" mod.
It adds a fence, which in normal life is a vendor who buys all sorts of stuff without asking where it comes from, with 250,000 gold outside every Temple throughout the land. I don't feel that it unbalances the game, he's not a dolt like the scamp/drunken mudcrab (who gives you the actual value of the items you sell)..just like a normal merchant (you'll usually get like 40% of the object's value) but with tons of gold :)

Guess he's places outside the temple so that you can easily teleport out of some huge dungeon (with the divination scroll/spell) with 300 over-encumbrance of cool stuff, and manage to sell it off quickly.
