Who Should I Drop?

Post by Blueman »

I want to have 5 'Core' members, and rotate the 6th spot for their quests.
I have:
Me ( fighter/thief )
Keldorn
Minsc
Korgan
Jahiera (romancing, must stay)
Nalia
I am true neutral, with a decent reputation. Who should I drop?

You have 4 and a half fighters...drop one. Probably Keldorn or minsc...depending on who you like better.

Korgan may be the better one to drop, even though he kicks ass. As he is an evil bastard, sometimes you have party conflict between him and some of the other members. Thankfully you dont have Aerie, cause they really dont get along.

Personally, I'd just go with two fighters and use yourself as a backup. I'd drop Keldorn or Minsc (even though he has the best lines).

In my opinion you should drop Minsc. Korgan is the best fighter out there, extremely cool and, even though he might be evil, no person will leave your party because of him. Actually, I like my party members to argue a bit among themselves. Keldorn, who, like all paladins is lawful good, will actually praise Korgan for his fighting prowess! Keldorn is way better than Minsc, given the right equipment (Carsomyr, Gauntlets of Dex and a Girdle of Strenght (any)).

I ended up forgoing Minsc on my second start. Replaced him with a Dwarven Beserker dual-wielding flails. I just throw a haste on him and stand back to watch the butt-kicking.

@Ast: Ha! That's exactly how I have Keldorn equipped.

I guess I'm trying to decide between Minsc and Korgan. Korgan is evil, but has more HP and lower THAC0 with his axes. But Minsc... well, he's Minsc.

Yeah, it was tough to give up Minsc's commentary, but I just couldn't keep him from getting pounded on all the time (although a ring of rengeneration helped a lot).
