guild question

Post by Odonatathrope »

Can one join and become the head of both the Thieves Guild and the Morag Tong? Or are these two at odds? Thanks.

I'm doing just fine in both right now, but I'm not guildmaster/grandmaster of either yet. CJdevito posted about this on a thread awhile back. Basically he suggested that only the Fighter's guild and the Thieve's guild were actually at odds.

Thanks. I also just found Shakti's site (http://home.austin.rr.com/shakti/morrowind/mwguide.htm) where he/she goes into detail on compatible factions (including three combinations to avoid.) Apparently the Morag Tong is fine for anybody.

Cool :)

One of these days I'll have to try all the combos.

I hear ya. Right now I'm working on a jack-of-all-trades kinda thing...many factions, but little advancement in them. Think I'll get to the top of the thieves, morag tong, and hlalu. As for the rest, well, advancement would be nice (especially if it didn't create conflicts), but I have this nasty habit of killing faction members if they gots something I wants (i.e., I can't become head of the mages now, but man that's a pretty necklace)!

heheh...absolutely! :D

I'm goin' the assassin route myself (same guilds and House) and it's a real hoot to be able to whack the head honcho of a powerful guild for cash and prizes.

Just a thought, but couldn't you go into the editor and just make all NPCs respawn? Now that would be fun...

Get to kill 'em, make friends...then kill 'em again :)

Tell me 'bout it. I'm off to join the Morag Tong -- I may as well get some appreciation for my sinister ways. 'Tis a shame the prophecy wouldn't let me off that guy in Tel Fyr, though. That was a brutal fight. Rematch later, I guess.
