Darklands

I think I may have jumped the gun and gone into Spellhold too soon. From Darklands can I go back and do all the other Quests that I haven't done as yet or am I on a one way plot to the end? If that is the case then I think I will go back to a save gave and import my Charactor in there so I play the whole game and get the exp. I seem to be getting me butt kicked alot which I think is due to missing out on the side Quests

Only after you have exited the 'Underdark'. Then everything you didn't do before is available (as far as the side quests are concerned you can do these in Chapter six as well as Chapter two).

Aww, from the title of this thread you had me thinking that this might have something to do with the ultra-cool Microprose RPG by the same name. Plllt, you just meant the Underdark. Anyway, in answer to your question, yeah, once you get to chapter 6 you're back outside and able to do any quests you could have done in chapters 2 or 3.

Is it true that uncompleted quests from chapters 2&3 can just vanish from your journal (as I am told but would rather not believe)?

Not as far as I can tell. My first time through I went to Brynnlaw early. When I re-emerged I was able to go to Windspear, deliver acorns etc. along with other quests given early in the game.
