sanguine quests...joining the morag tong?????

Post by UserUnfriendly »

ok, the cheat book mentions the reward for the morag tong sanguine items quests, 26 in all, gives you a triple pronged spell that includes fortify attack and fortify shortblade!!!!

now if like the other attribute spells, like getting fortify str will automatically give you, in spell maker and item maker, ALL the other fortify spells, like int and wis, then getting thru and playing out the threads of the web spinner super quest will give you the ability to craft items and spells with fortify attack and fortify the skill of the weapon you are using!!! now that is a spell a lot of people in this forum have been looking for....

assuming the book is right, and not wrong...

thinking of joining th emorag tong, but it looks like when you hit grandmaster, you have to kill imperial legion members...can you be in tong and legion at same time???

and which is more fun....

two more questions...

i still need exact location of azuras servent, in tel vos northeastern tower....

how do you pick pocket????
They call me Darth...

Personally, I vote for Morag Tong (more my speed as an assassin...hell, I'm an ex-con in the Empire proper ;) ).

I've honestly purchased most of the spells I need to craft items/use spellmaker, but the sanguine items are nice.

To pick pockets: Hold Sneak button while 'activating' the person you want to target (like talking to them, but you'll get an inv screen instead when you sneak). Grab something and throw it in your own inventory...voila!...U.R. Artful Dodger :) . Make sure you save before attempting this since it's not real easy to do until your sneak is fairly well-developed.

From my experience Imperial Legion is fairly lame...

And fyi, if something is right, it is generally not wrong - grin.

sam, i agree about item and spell maker...thats why my mercantile is 100, and i am archmage...

yeah, the sanguines are nice, but no where near the quality of the stuff from the daedra quests, boy are they good....

but you have to turn in all the swag to get the spell from mephala, and i was wondering if anybody has done all of them and got hte reward....

26 itmes, so its quite a career...

and if someone has the spell, can they try making a fortify attack sword constant of course..  and see if it gives you fortify attack???

anyway, the tong sounds more fun than the imperial guard, but i need to know if i can join guard after i kill varius in buckmoth fort...

you see, i want cryslemre and lords mail....

well, i guess i can always console them in to see if they are worth going after...

yeah, i will join the tong...

lot more fun, and coool...

managed to pickpocket the masque of clavius vile today, took 4 tries... calm humanoid is such a killer spell...

went in with 120% chameleon....giggle...

anyway, did the daedra quest for mehunes razor, my new fellow tong members are much impressed...

oh yeah, according to the book the weight of the boots(???!!!!) makes a major diff in sneaking...bound is obviously the best, in that case...may try going barefoot next time...

yeah...going to be a thief with full set of plate....

i mean, what assassin dont want protection if he pays no penalty for it???

i mean a thief chooses unarmor due to necessity not choice...

Yes, I've done the entire sanguine items quest. Yes, the spell lets you use fortify attack/fortify skill in the spell maker.

You don't have to kill anyone in the legion. There are four grandmaster writs available to you IF you become grandmaster and IF you've already killed Dagoth Ur. One is a top guy in the legion, 2 are telvanni, one is hlalu. None of these quests are required, none give rewards other then cash. They're simply there for a challenge after the main game is over, and it's your discretion wether to do any of them or not.

You will have NO problems with being a member of the tong and any other guild, provided you avoid some of the grandmaster quests. None of the others will take you into conflict with any guild or house.

The imperial legion is NOT fairly lame. The quests are mostly easy, and for a beginning character with heavy armor skill the legion is one of the two best guilds to quest for. The rewards are tangible and useful. Pointless for any but a beginning character? Pretty much. But for a new character, very useful. Ditto the imperial cult.

Well, sure. But think of it in terms of a beginning character. Does the legion have be-all, end-all stuff? Nope. But it's -good- stuff, available fairly easily for the most part.

even a beginning char can enchant with some good cash better stuff than crys and lords mail....

my lv 5 char had already had 6 golden saint gems by the time i started the main quest....

ok, so i cheated and got gold...

just too impatient....

just like adding a shop keeper plugin, anyway...

but here is an important question....

just where the frick is azuras servant???? in tel vos north eastern tower, but after searching it pretty carefully, nada...

and if you do the grand master writs and whack the trevanni councillars, do you get kicked out of the house????

i like being archmeister....

had to whack a bunch of people for that...

so how cool is fortefy attack????

have you made uber constant effect claymores yet????

or just a cast when strikes, call the sword
"anticipation"

as in good things come to those who wait, as the fortefy attack kicks in after the second whack...

is it expensive in enchant or points???

Far be it for me to tell you how to play your game. I think it takes a lot of hubris to tell someone that the way they're having fun is wrong, and I at least would never try. Having said that, though, re-evaluate the worth of the legion items from this perspective:

1. No gold cheats
2. No enchant exploits with soul gems and the creeper

Now, if that sounds unappealing to you to play that way, no problem - I don't expect you to if you don't want to. But if you consider the legion items from the perspective of someone who -is- playing the game that way, they gain significant worth.

and if you do the grand master writs and whack the trevanni councillars, do you get kicked out of the house????

Pretty sure not. DEFINITELY not if you just taunt them first.

As far as fortify attack....believe it or not, I haven't had occasion to use it. It's not like I miss much without it :)
