The knights in the planar sphere...

Well I completed the whole planar sphere quest, but there's still the problem with the knights wanting to get back to their homeland.

In the walkthrough it said you can talk to Ribald or the knights of the radiant heart. The problem is I've tried both of those options, but no-one brings up the subject of the knights. If I go talk to the knights in the sphere, all I can tell them is that the sphere is broken and stuck in the prime material world, and they accept it and leave.

But I wanted to get them back to their own world by talking to Ribald so I could get the experience and the girdle. So what am I doing wrong here?

I must ask this, are you a mage?
or did you have the offer of the sphere as the stonghold (its the mage stronghold), because if not, they just leave.
