Possible Problem ?

Post by Demis »

There is a guy in the South Wall at Balmora Phane Rielle that can take care of the price on your head when you comitted crimes.

My problem is that when i used him to clear the bounty on me, his disposition drop and each time i initiate dialogue with him drops even further to a point that he no longer speaks to me.

That doesn't feel normal and might be a bug, anyone had the some problem?

Do you have Chameleon on?

I've noticed that NPC dispo goes down by 5 or so everytime you talk to one and get the "Who there?" comment. If this is your problem, just remove chameleon before initiating dialogue and converse normally.

Chameleon is a spell effect...like invisibility (makes you harder to see) except % effect to sneak (ie. 20% Chameleon makes you 20% harder to see). If you have this spell running when you talk to NPCs it makes it hard for them to see you.

I don't have too much of a problem with a Cham of 50% or less, with regards to NPC interaction. Check to see if you're transparent with a 3rd-person view (or tvm in the console) or look at your spell effect taskbar in the menu to see if you should remove the chameleoned items or not. If it's another problem, then I've not encountered it.

Well i didn't use any invisibility spells so it might be another problem, maybe caused by a similar thing. Thanks

You want to know why...

He is located next to a hanging plant. If his eyes are blocked even a little by the plant, he will not be able to see you.

He has cataracts, and his peripheral vision has almost completely deteriorated. So please be considerate of his condition, and approach him from the front of his counter. :)
