Thieves Guild vs Fighters Guild

I have joined both guilds, my custom class is a mix of this with a few other skills, and at some point i'm given a mission from the Fighters guild to go and get a code book from Soltide over at the South Wall and since i don't want to cross any of the guilds i wanted to know if it;s possible to get the book without killing her.

I tried pick pocketing the book but i always get caught (sneak 27 & security 38). Anyone managed that are at some point you just have to keep up with only one of the guilds?

i saw a post somewhere saying it is possible to steal the book, though it's probably quite difficult this early in the game. perhaps if you try getting a chameleon spell or scroll/item...
otherwise the only way is to kill her. you can try taunting her so she attacks you first.

Just bribe her repeatedly, and she'll give you the book as a favor.

no, she won't! not if you're a member of the thieves guild.

Unfortunately i'm a member of the Thieves Guild and the talking way leads nowhere

. I don't what to kill her since the Thieves Guild offers large rewards so i have to sneak it out. I tried one more time but no results, so i gave up for now, when i advance in Sneak and Security more i'll try again.

It is very interesting trying to keep up with 2-3 guilds at the same time and you can always stall a mission when you can't do it at the moment. Thanks

are you skilled in illusion? if so, you could try using 100% chameleon and then trying to pickpocket it off of her. maybe invisibility would work as well, that one's easily available as scrolls or potions.
or, if you can't cast chameleon, you could buy the spell then go to an enchanter to create an item that casts it.

I have tried it with Moonshadow (forgot about my birthsign abilities) but again no luck.
