Drizzt is invincible

Post by the_realmerlin »

How in hell can you kill Drizzt and take his equip? My party was near at the limit and i had some of the best items in the game, but Drizzt just doesn;t die, i even had him fight twenty vamps by himself and then attack but when all my party died he was only badly injured. Give me some hints cause i might start a new game just to kill Drizzt.

Drizzt is actually fairly easy to kill. Drizzt SHOULD be invincible though.

spoiler.....

Repeatedly cast Mord's sword at the beginning of the battle and just let the swords take care of him. Make sure you position them in front of the opposing party also. Pretty sure it'll work, although I beat him with a simple stoneskin/mirror image combo.

I found Drizzt to be the pivitol point in the group. His thaco and damage were just dynamite. Kill him though and you have what is essentially just another party of adventurers...

Any of my characters can take him down alone, just need some preparations and cheese. For example, Fighter/mage or kensai mage do stoneskin/PfMW/mirror image/fireshield...druid iron skin... fighters HLAs... mages, too many methods. Well cleric will have a bit of a problem, but who says you can't run when you're injured and quaff potions.
You know, this reminds me of that time... waay back...

drizzt is not all that bad@ss and in the books had met his match quite a number of times, only to win by luck or something extrodinary. and by the end of tob u should have no trouble with him, hell elminster himself admits that he can't take u and i think hes a bit more tougher than drizzt. now jarlaxle would give u a hard time or kimmuriel/rai-guy working together.

Drizzt Do'Urden is uber! He's got style, grace, strong companions, a feline friend and supreme martial arts skills.
In the books, he's defeated demi-gods, demons, fiends, high-lv. drows, dragons...he's da man! I guess killing him in BG2 would steal all that GLORY!. Uhm...
Check it out! One of my earliest, and certainly, more creative threads! :)

I don't know why you had so much trouble killing Drizzt. Maybe you should lower the difficulity level.
What i did was pretty simple...
All i did was letting Viconia (or any other cleric) cast Regeneration on Korgan, and heal him if needed... he killed all Drizzt in a few seconds, and the rest of the party is piece of cake... If it's still too tough, have Edwin (or any other mage) cast Improved Haste on him... Now, that should do the trick  .
I cannot be caged.
I cannot be controlled.
(I probably cannot be contained either) :p ;)

Understand this as you die,
ever pathetic, ever fools.

I found drizzt to be easy, and I didnt try any particularly mad scheme

Edwin and Jan cast minor sequencers with 2 webs each, pc cast a proper sequencer with greater mallison and 2 more webs

They were all held, im quite sure.. it was a while ago, after that I pretty much had korgan throwing axe drizzt to death while my mages stacked death fogs and viconia kept casting unholy blight.

Im sure I was quite high lvl that time through the game, ive never really found drizzt to be any trouble, becouse I do all the quests available in c2, so im always high lvl coming out of the underdark
