when do thieves guild quests end?

Post by Odonatathrope »

Okay, I've done a few of Gentleman Jim's quests, including all the Bal Molagmer ones. The one I'm (eventually) doing next is stealing something from a tomb south of a camp near Gnaar Mok, I think (got it a while ago and don't have the game in front of me). I'm currently a mastermind, and the next advancement level is Master Thief. Interestingly, Sugar Lips, who advanced me to mastermind, tells me I have to see Jim for the next advancement. So the question is, am I almost done? Want to get this guild out of the way so I can work on some others. (I know I could put it on the backburner, but given the limits of the journal, I try to advance one place at a time.) So please feel free to spoil me on how much work I have left, and even what the reward for advancement will be. Thanks.

You have a handful of quests from Jim left. I think four. Three are not much work, one is a travel to the ends of the earth kind of mission.

Oh, the reward:

a skeleton key, the only one in game. 50 uses, automatically successfully opens any lock

Limited use, but nice.

Problem with the reward, is a thief worth their salt can already pick a high level lock. Hell I use an apprentice pick on level 100, and with good endurance, no sweat!
They should have given the thieves something indescrete and powerful, armor, weapon, something a cunning, sly stealthy person might need.

Different question, why does invisibility wear off the moment you interact with anything?
I write the songs that make the whole world sing!

Yes, and there's also a mage guild quest that does as well (although only if certain very specific circumstances have been met). But not the thieves guild, or any of the others that I know of.
