First of all Ode, if I am cheeky, it's nothing unusual to this forum and for me, it's just playing around (in a nice way) as you do it. I don't know what label you're trying to put on me or what exactly your point is but I was under the impression that I was being relatively nice to everyone, including Yshania so far. :(
But hey, it's not Judgement Day yet, is it? ;) so goin' back to tree-huggers (I also call paladins Carsomyr-coveting-warriors and rangers - monkey-boys), I like 'em and their spells (nature's beauty, call nymph, entangle and so on...) but I don't like the only two druid NPCs, Jaheira and Cernd.
IMHO, I like to think of druids as being more foreboding and mysterious characters (after all, they are supposed to be secretive) and Jaheira's straightforwardness does not appeal to me. Cernd is all right, personality-wise.
Check it out! One of my earliest, and certainly, more creative threads! :)

Well, with the stats your druid has...I may *very grudgingly* admit that nature can be an awesome force. Some fantasy characters also come to mind such as the great Druid Allanon from the Shannara Series - he was very manipulative and had frightening druidical powers - jus' the character I like. Hey! What I'm saying??
  It's happening!! I'm being converted to the Avenger Club...ah!!!...must resist..must...get axe...chop trees...*phew*
Nope, never convinced for one second! Hah! ;)

And now for my real question. @Ysh, how can your Avenger dual-wield scimitars with any real effectiveness when druids can (AFAIK) only put one proficiency point in 2-weapon style, and 1 proficiency point into weapons? IIRC they don't get very many proficiencies either, so how did you manage this?

@Ysh and Aqua-chan, If you two do have that duel post how it went and who won.
LOL!

Thanks for your concerns here ;) but this is a friendly debate IMO, and no lines have been crossed. :)

Just like that, a one star proficiency in two weapon style, and one star in scimitars. She does ok, and my current Avenger has three attacks per round. Whatever style you choose, you only get one star proficiency anyway ;)

LOL! :D

You have nothing to worry about here :)

I actually like Jaheira. She was annoying in BG1, but in SoA I think her character was greatly improved. Cernd is ok, but of the two I prefer Jah.

I agree with Robnark. I always loved playing a Druid in AD&D, because the cause of nature was nice to play to, and they were so limited in what items were available to them. In BGII, Druids can use metal weapons and armour (: ( :( :( ) and don't have to give a **** about nature, as long as they maintain neutral alignment (which basically consists of: Completing quests, and then punching a bloke in his house every so often, in the BG universe) druids are great to roleplay, but in BG, there's no reason to play a character with such poor (medium and low level) spells and mediocre fighting abilities at all....

Sorry for missing out on a lot of this little debate, but now I'm back and ready to cause conflict! :D

Nice stats, Ysh! I did beef up my strength and constitution because I intended for Delara to be a front or middle line fighter, and I threw Wisdom to the max for the heck off spells. Everything else ---ptch. Who needs it?

I bet I could take on any other druid by myself. (Typical female egoism.) I'd have five Spirit Animals running circles around any opponent! My favorite definetly being the Snake (Save vs. Poison or Die) and the Wolf (Level Drain). I mean, Faldorn was like, nothing of an opponent, even with her panther shapeshifting abilities!

@ Ode -LMAO! I guess I could tell you the outcome if I could ever get Ysh into a match...But that would mean I would have to figure this internet game system out! (NO, ysh. It's NOT an excuse to get out of a fight. **sticks tounge out** See ya in SYM!)

Hey! Druids are COOL! ...Especially when edited with Shadow Keeper. I currently have a Chaotic Nuetral Druid with 5 Summom Spirit Animals (Instead of 3 which she should have), a cat Familiar (for the heck of it) and I have five proficiences in Scimitar and Two Weapon style. (I won't use that Totemic to whoop you, Ysh. Don't worry. :D lol.

But overall, I like them better than Clerics in most cases. Yes, I DO like Jaheira. Yes, I HATE Cernd. Now that we got all that ground covered...

I wouldn't worry about it, no-one seems to mind.

I wasn't trying to be rude or imply that you were, don't worry. Sorry if it came across that way. :o :(

EDIT-Why are rangers 'monkey boys'?

Ok - I will have to take your word for it! ;) btw, Faldorn did not get a chance to shapeshift when my Avenger challenged her :) I cast Insect Plague and summon fire elemental. The battle was over in minutes

LOL! :D it wouldn't be possible anyway - well this is my guess, but I must admit to having never attacked a commrade in multiplayer ;)

Ah!! a hacked character! :D At least mine is true! she is also fearless :p Which would you like to meet? I have a level 29, or my level 13 who will become more powerful that the level 29 because of her stats. She already has level six spell in Chapter 2 ;)

Ode, I get carried away sometimes with some of my posts (I'm learning after all), so I should apologize also. :)
I don't know why I call rangers 'monkey boys'...I guess my image of a ranger is Tarzan - a monkey-like figure who swings from tree to tree. Besides, most NPC rangers I've met have high dexterity (Minsc, Valygar, Drizzt), which again reminds me of monkey agility...uhm...(maybe Monkey Island is getting to me, :D )

Anyway, does anyone know what druid deities are there in FG? I think there's Sylvanus, but I can't remember any others...
