How's the scope of Morrowind?

You've probably seen this kinda topic before...

I'm not gonna ask if its a good game or not, because I'm thoroughly convinced that it is awesome...however I am just wondering...how's the scope?

After reading another post, I see there are no romances, but is there some sort of in-depth character interaction? The problem I had with Daggerfall was that all you could do was get quests from people and ask them questions about where stuff is.

Apart from character interaction, what else can you do? Can you negotiate a situation with an enemy so you don't have to kill them? Can you buy horses, carts, ships and houses like in Daggerfall?

1.) Lots.

2.) Some of the time (cliff racers are so unreasonable!)

3.) No, No, No, Yes.

Buy it, play it. For a while, you will be stunned at how real it all feels. It's a great deal of fun, immersive as heck, and broad as Marlon Brando locked in an oreo factory.
