NPC voices

Post by Ruerl Khan »

Hello everyone,
Do any of you know how to extract the voices from the NPC's in the game?

There are quite a few I like, and I even consider staring an gnome in SoA with the name Tiax.

Well lets just say that I like that little buggers mentality abouth dominating the world. :D

If you know how to extract voices in SoA or TOB too it would be very helpfull too.

Also do you know how to extract pictures from TOB? I have found that I can extract the pictures from SoA with shadowkeeper, but it is much more an problem with TOB, as I don't have any version of the keepers wich go with TOB.

Well those were my questions, hope you know how to help.

Head over to FilePlanet, and poke around in the Baldur's Gate 2 section for sound sets. You'll (possibly) find a ZIP containing all the NPC voices there ready for PC use, they're also avaliable individually.

I know they have them for BG, but I'm not so sure on the BG2 front.

Anyone else have the soundfiles? I'm not too keen on registering and giving a website my personal info, just to get a bit of fluff for my machine.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Being an Evil Overlord seems to be a good career choice. It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours. However every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. I've noticed that no matter whether they are barbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time. Therefore, if I ever happen to become an Evil Overlord, ...
