@Kammy & Georgi: For a moment there I thought Kam's future was shattered... Good to hear it is not so. Personally, I was a total failure at that age, I hardly made it through the compulsory school (9 years in Sweden), and I skipped high-school/college, the 3-4 years intermediate step necessary for applying to university. And look at me now, I'm doing my PhD at a world-leading lab
Well done you for getting so far - I'm sure that it took a lot of determination - something I could do with
Classics is a very open subject: It's a mixture of literature studies, language studies, philosophy and history, so basically I have a huge range of things to try out and see which I want to concentrate on. At Bristol, I can also choose to do part of my degree in another department of the University, so one of my modules could be in Computer Science or something like that It's very flexible.Originally posted by C Elegans
@Kam: Bristol, that's a very good university, isn't it? I know the guy who's head of the psychology section, he's a really sweet person What does it mean to study Classics? Is it language, history or both?
And yes, Bristol is a very good university, one I would be proud to say I went to Manchester isn't a place I'd be totally shattered if I had to go to - I have family up there anyway, so at least I'd know people and places
