HELP with sculpture quest

Post by Menace2Society »

OK i've talked to the sculpter, gone to Waukeen's Promenade and take to the Ore Merchant, then i've gone to the Copper Coronet and taled to the Unger, he tells me to go to the Bridge District and go to Neb's house, when I go it's locked . I tried focing it open for like 20 minutes but i couldn't. Do i have to be in a certain chapter to finish theis quest (i'm still in chapter 2)? Does anybody know what i have too do?

Try to pick locks or cast the knock spell.

Good Luck

The door to Neb's house can't be opened until you've finished talking to Unger Hilldark. When the conversation is over, the game sets the Global Variable "UngerInfo" to 1 and the Global Variable "NebIsASmellyBastard" to 1. Perhaps those two variables were not set correctly; that could be the cause of your problem. You can fix them manually if necessary.

The other possibility is that you're trying to open the wrong door. Exactly which house are you trying to enter?

SPOILER below

Actually you can open the door, it's just there may or may not be an encounter inside if you don't specifically ask Unger Hilldark about his source and tell him you want to track the guy down

Krimmy, now that I think about it, I think you're right. You can enter Neb's house without talking to Unger Hilldark; it's just that Neb won't be there if you haven't talked to Unger. Open Locks or Knock is all it takes to open the door.

I think that Menace2Society might be at the wrong door. Perhaps he's at a very special door due south of Neb's house, if you know which one I mean. :)

is lock picking just forcing the door open with your weapon, or is there a special way to lockpick?

Semi- Spoiler

No, it's a Thief skill. if you haven't already left for the Asylum you can grab Yoshimo if you have already the go for Jan, Yoshimo is usually found in the Copper Coronet and Jan in the Government district.

Or you could pay 5000gp to the someone in the main Govenrment building to allow you to use magic withen city limits and have a Magic-user cast knock.

Yes, the user manual is quite a wonderful thing, isn't it? ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

LoL.........Fable
"Sometimes Dreams are wiser than waking"

"One day I will leave this world and Dream myself to Reality"

"Dream your life, live that Dream"

"I have a Dream"........Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.
