Jaheria - whats missing? *Spoliers*

Ok,

I'm going through BG2 again as a good mage. My romance has been running nicely along with Jaheria. However i've now finished the final bodhi quest. Its on about day 53, and nobody has come up and asked Jaheria to return to harpers hold. As said tho as far as i can remember from last time the romance is going fine. Got the locket, always said the right thing. And i didn't sleep with the girl in Underdark. If it wasn't for the ring in harpers hold i'd jsut go on, but i want those extra spells. Can anyone please advise? Is it possible that 'enough' time hasn't passed?

You've done the Zxar's quest right? Have you rested in the open? If not go out of the city, and rest outdoor.

Yup did the original harper quest... and have tried sleeping outside. And also just waiting outside and leave bg2 running for a couple of hours - nothing. I was wondering about loading an older save game (from underdark) and trying again.

After you do Zxar's quest sleeping outdoor should trigger the Bandit Plot, after this Jaheira is summon back to the Harper place. Try setting JaheiraBanditPlot to 1 and then go and rest outdoor.

I have the same problem. Jaheirabanditplot is set at 1 in my game and nobody shows up even if I rest outdoors. Could it be that I dropped Jaheira in Irenicus dungeon and picked her up again at the harpers hold? I have done Xzar's quest.

Naturally the global is set after LoveTalk 26, so if you're currently in a romance with her - or if you set the global manually - then they should appear when you rest out doors. Where exactly did you rest? Try places like Urmar Hills, Temple Ruin, etc. If you did, then it could be a problem with the script. I can send you one that might fix this, if you want.

I have been hearing a lot about getting lockets and doing other quests for Jaheira. I can only report that I did Xar quest, killed the Harpers, bandits attacked and I took a hit for Jaheira. Where do you buy lockets or get other quests. Getting Jaheira has been the hardest thing I've tried as I've killed Irenicus I think 8 times now!

The romances in this game are set to work in real time. thus, for any of the dialogues to be triggered, certain requirments must be made. First, every hour or so (In the wild, or a town, not a "dungeon") a dialogue will begin. Next, before certain dialogues can begin, sometimes a trigger even must take place, whether it's slepping in the wild, or meeting a certain person. If you do some searching on the site, you should be able to find a very thorough walkthrough of the whole romance. I hope this helps.

Dismissing is supposed to cancel any romance permanently save if you do not have special patch (there are several around). Unfortunately imprisonment, death and, IMHO, even charming or domination are treated as dismissing.

If your lovetalk isn't above 53 after you've fought Dermin your romance it in trouble and, most probably, cannot be continued without some divine (SK and CLusConsole, i mean ) intervention.
