I want my cake, and I want to eat it too!

I'm wonder, what weapon proficiency should I train for in preparation for ToB? Right now I have Two Weapon, Katana, and Long Sword all at 3 points. I was thinking of training War Hammer next for the Crom Faeyr, but there're probably better weapons in ToB that aren't War Hammers. So, I'm looking for basically a minor spoiler, I don't want to know the name of the weapon or where and when and how I will get it, just the weapon proficiency. :D

Also, I'm wondering if letting Sarevok into my party will end up being more trouble than it's worth later on. Like you know, getting Yoshimo in SoA. Again, just looking for a simple "don't get him" or a "no problem" on this question. Don't want too much detail. :D :D

Thanks.

Added later:

Okay, thanks for the help.

Don't know about the proficiencies; but you won't have problems with Sarevok in the party.

Don't get much better than Crom, actually. Just more of it. There's a wonderful axe, a good longsword and a good bastard sword. You can also upgrade the Flail of Ages really well.

and there's an insanely powerful halberd in ToB. but that one is usually reserved for Sarevok, it just seems to be made for him :)

Well there is another good War Hammer, so that profiency might be useful :)

I seem to recall at least one fantastic staff, too.

ToB includes a very decent weapon in most weapon categories, so you have quite some choice!

there are 2 really really good bastard swords in Tob so i recommend grand mastering a fighter n these as youll be able to pretty much take down anything. theres one that once upgraded gives you 22 strength and is a fire damage causer and another one has a built in minor drain i think so go bastard swords
