Killed all Irenicus' monsters then began to attack him. Half an hour later I'm totally out of spells and he's still alive and fighting. Is this what's supposed to happen or has the game frozen up in some way???

He will regenerate quickly ,you have to stay on him at all times or he will build right back up.

Yup, I had the feeling that he regenerated half-as-fast as a Greater Wolfwere...

i ran into the same problem, no matter what you do make sure you don't blind him in anyway! (nature's beauty and such) otherwise he won't trigger the end as he can't see you(duh) and will just sit there with an infinity amount of hp (even 20+ ctrl+Y's won't kill him) and you have to restart the fight over
