Joining the Blades of the Banshee

Post by Nippy »

Reading through some of the threads here, some people seem to be confused about what you can do with your character and ways to join. With this, I'll see if I can clarify it a little bit.

This guild was developed primarily for us to role-play and adventure with known people who we trust and are familiar with. To this end, role=playing is the vital factor so please try to be in-character as much as possible.

In Argyle (if you play with some of us there) will not immediately know of the Blades of the Banshee. Read the guild biography by Saigo and you'll find out why. You will have to role-play that factor and not just turn up and say; "Hi! My names Drizzt and I'm a member of the Blades of the Banshee!" If I see that, I know that someones going to filled with arrows.

The guild will take time to develop in-game. We have to be patient and establish ourselves when we get stronger, your background might have something to do with the Blades of the Banshee or you might be allied with someone that is a descendant of the Blades. Talk with me or your wing-leaders if you want details about anything, we won't bite!

You don't have to play in Argyle for you to be a member of the Blades. You can simply play the modules that we download and create with each other (basically, we could run an on-going campaign and play that through with a set of regular players meeting at the same time) and turn up with a module and say "Come on! I wanna kill something!" and you would probably get wolven86 jumping right on your modem and killing the module before it even fires up. ( ;) )

As I have said, the main reasons for playing together is because we want to role-play together with respected and known people. And we want to play in Argyle so we can crush Aegis's mercenary band in it's infancy. :p

Ok guys? [/serious mode]

Do you have any other thoughts any one? Wing Leaders can talk about what they want in their wings whether they want regular meetings or just turn up at random intervals etc.

I know I can't wait to fire up my copy. :)

Hey Guys and Gals,

You can also feel free to private message me any questions as well. Just add me, as well as Nippy and the rest of the gang, to your buddy list. That way, you can see when we are all on-line, and PM us any questions.

I may not be a wing-leader (though now that my plans to assassinate Nippy are in full-swing, this might soon change), I am more than happy to answer any questions or give input on any concerns you might have. And don't worry. I'm really not that bad a guy. Nippy is just evil through and through, and deserves what he gets. :p

Er I'm in the Council of Magic, but I kind of don't know much about Argyle. I hear there's even a different set of races. Is there a site I can go to, to find out about it? Thanks in advance for aiding one who's totally clueless. :o

Argyle Information

Hi there Banshee members :) I hope some of you have the game now and are enjoying it!

Regarding information about Argyle, most of what's on the site is roleplaying and background information. There is some hard information such as racial modifiers in the Ruminations board, and also on the Silver Oak Studios message board. I encourage you all to check it out, and start pestering myself and the other Taters when you can't find something. We usually divulge information when asked ;)

For overall Argyle roleplaying questions, you can email or Private Message (on the Argyle or SOS boards) myself.

For Argyle online technical-type questions, ask Uniden.

For elfy questions, ask Pranker.

For dwarfy questions, ask Sim.

For gnomey questions, ask Mezir'Thyn.

As I've said to several of you via email, the Blade members are highly respected on the Ruminations board as individuals, and you've done a good job of not letting anyone know what your ultimate plans are :) Hopefully we can start bringing some stuff online next week to play around with.

For those of you who don't know Rhino, he's the man with the plan over at Argyle....or at least one of them.

For those of you currently working on character backgrounds for Argyle, be it for the Banshees or not, I highly encourage you to submit it to Rhino or Pranker for suggestions/approval.

But before you do, you must put a little thought into it. Read the Argyle history at their website. Then read Pranker's sticky on the message board concerning character backgrounds. Then think it through and through, and take your time writing it. Then, once you have something you can be proud of, submit it for some pointers and whatnot.

It's my opinion that the background for your character is a very important part for succesful role-playing. It is where you lay the foundation for his character and personality, so the more you flesh out, the better you'll understand your character from the beginning.

oi Nippy i resent that give me some credit at elast i wouldn't jump on them straight away much more fun to let em sweat for a bit and then jump on them and it would take even my char a while to work through an entire module even if it was only inhabited by Kobolds

OMG that reminds me of TOB when you are in abazigals dungeon and you free the low level party that tottaly cracked me up.

And why fill em with arrows you never know i might fancy sticking my fist through them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont worry im scarier in RL

oh yea i still think i should be head of the fighters guild dunno why but i seem to be the only active one around come on it cant be that bad to let me have some authorityi wont abuse it too much

Although it is a bit off-topic, I think somebody has to say it:

If that psychopathic elf gets even a modicum of authority, I'm running away, screaming. :p
