Indeed I have :D I watched the football yesterday, then went out with a friend for coffee, then with some more friends for dinner. Came home late, then watched the football today too :D

Yes, after spamming abit here, I thought I would dedicate a few hours to lay down on the floor and watch the ceiling. ;)

How Zen of you, maybe you need that after the family things. ;) I used to be totally wrecked by our family events when I was younger - then there was a lot of conflicts and problems between different parts of the family, so nowadays we never have any big occations  :D

No, there arent much conflicts, I can stand them pretty well. Problem is have have nothing in common with most of them and its impossible for us to connect so its usally rather boring.

And I told you about the ceiling watching just to show you the true power of layzyness, it has nothing to do with zen. :D

@Ysh: It was actually Kameleons post that spoiled me, your first post was in black, wasn't it?

Well, it's my own fault, I was curious to see if there were any new posts regarding the South Korea - Spain match, and forgot the Senegal-Turkey match was already finished.

But as I said, that will allow me to be social instead of staying at home watching football :) :D

Yes, it was - but I took it out anyway...

LOL! :D
Why are the games not shown until so much later? We have had every game televised live over here :)

I know what you mean, just sitting off time with people you have nothing at all in common with and can't communicate with about anyting interesting, is extremly boring, a real waste.

We didn't have open conflicts in my family, it was just very stiff and boring for the same reasons as above. The conflicts started later, and because of the conflicts, different people refused to speak with one another so the large family occations disappeared from the schedule. A good thing IMO, just bad it was because of conflicts. On the other hand, the conflicts occured because people didn't like each other any way, and I have never understood the point with those family occations based on the fact that you are relatives and not because people want to meet. I like it better now, when I only have contact with the relatives I like :)

I dont actually hate them, I just think they are a waste of time. (unlike watching the ceiling. ;) ) But I try to attend them atleast a few times a year. Suprisingly some relatives seem to enjoy my presence dispite our inablilty to communicate.

@Georgi: I will now support Brazil, IMO they play the most entertaining football of the remaining teams.

@Ysh: I have no idea why the stupid Swedish TV does not show all games live, I guess it's because the French Canal Plus have bought the rights to send all matches live, so it's too expensive for the stately TV to do the same.

EDIT: @Dot: Maybe those relatives enjoy your presence because they feel you have a wordless, implicit communication? Or maybe they just think it's nice that you show appreciation by turning up at all?

Yes, agreed. :)

I dont really understand the point either, Perhaps its some kind of ritual that provides a illusion of social contact for the elderly. Although I think that atleast my grandparents have a social life apart from their familiy.

Well ok, maybe hate is too strong a word... but they're so boring... And now there's a toddler and a baby in the family as well, so I have to put up with everyone cooing over them. I can avoid these gatherings usually, unless my parents are hosting them, in which case I have to make an appearance.

I managed to burn my hand on the edge of the oven! Waah! :(
</trolling for sympathy>

@CE I thought you liked supporting the underdogs :D
