Best Skills
As with Feats, so with Skills: which are the best, for which classes? And how much would you pump into given skills?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I've gone through the first chapter three times now, and the only skill I wouldn't do without is persuasion. There are many places where a gentle push in the right direction will help.
Unfortunately, in most cases, you can use a more direct "I'll bash your head in if you don't tell me" approach if you fail your persuasion check. Useful when you don't have the skill, not so RP friendly if you're playing a good alligned character.

I'm not at all convinced that Animal Empathy is the best way for a druid to go--or at least, the only way to go. The skill is a bottomless sink, since you're always finding animals making tougher checks. I'd rather put those points behind some combat or magic metaskills.
