Spoiler warning: problem with devourerer waterdavian creature quest

ok, i dont think im the only one with this problem. to my knowledge, after killing the devourer brain thingy, your suppose to get part of his brain. all i got was a halbred plus one and ironwood, whatever that is. his brain is nowhere to be found after countless backtracks in that stupid area. The worst part is that when I killed him the journal failed to update as well. So, as a result I cant proceed to chapter 2 because i need evidence of that stupid brain creature. I also cant get the reward from the militia lady. damn, why did this have to happen!! now that quest can never ever be completed unless they release a new patch or something or maybe im just missin something, which i highly doubt. so, whoever has this problem, please reply with thoughts or maybe solutions.

conclusion: no evidence of brain devourer after killing him. cant get no reward.

it happened to me as well, it's a bug you need to do the quest again from yuor last saved game... unfortunatly i had to start over from the beggining.

Check the pool in the Temple of Tyr . Lost plot items go there ... You can purchase them by a small fee ..

The halberd and ironwood are dropped by the gaolor. The brain is dropped by the devourer itself. If it didn't drop anything, try checking the pool. If its not in there, you'll probably have to restart it somewhere.

this very well may be a bug - if so there might be a way to spawn the item through the console but I do not know the item code - just to verify, you killed the gaoler with the halberd, then each of the guards in that room as they each get possessed by the devourer, and then finally the devourer itself, right? And the devourer dropped nothing? If so it is a bug.

This is a good opportunity to remind people to save often

so if there is a bug of some sort you do not have to retrace much of the game to get around it.

Has anyone messed around with the editor much yet? Can someone fish out the code for the devourer brain? Spawning stuff through the console is usually the fastest way to fix something like this.

thanks for all your replies. i checked the temple of tyr and nothing was there. and i have done the other waterdavian quest after not getting the brain, so i basically have to restart the whole entire thing over. its ok though, this game has drained countless hours to my life anyway, a few more hours wouldnt hurt. thanks a lot people. I would try to get a code for the brain thingy but i dont think there is any. and please, if anyone still has this problem, continue writing. it might be helpful to other people.
