Map coordinates

Post by eviljr »

Thanks to those who helped with my save game questions. This should be my last question.

"Note - According to emails we've received, you can find the Sling of Arvoreen here as well. Search the walls for a niche around location x=1214, y=766"

How do you find the location coordinates on the map? I've looked all over for that sling, and I can't find it. I'm not sure that I care a whole lot, what bothers me most is that ppl are communicating in a way that I can't understand on the website and in the forums. I can't find any x,y coordinates anywhere in the game.

When you are on the main screen, press the "X" key. In the dialogue bar, you will see something like X=xxxx, Y=yyyy, AR=zzzz.

This shows the coordinates of where your cursor was at the time you pressed the X key. The first number (X)is its horizontal reference and the second (Y) is its vertical reference on the map area you currently occupy. The AR is the area number.

Keep moving your cursor around the screen until you get the numbers to line up with the ones people have provided you with. (Another thing, and this may sound patronising, but isn't intended to be, make sure that you're in the correct game area looking for the sling).

Thx Dave,

Or should I call you HighLord.... I'm in the right area according to the walkthrough anyway (I think... Uh-oh... Maybe not... Yeah that's the right spot).

Did you find the sling? Glad to help out if I could.

People around here usually call me HLD, but any variation of HighLordDave will do.
