Silly questions about bards' battlesong

Post by serjeLeBlade »

Does anybody know what "standard" bards' battlesong does exactly, and, if Haer Dalis's battlesong is different, in what it differs from "standard"?

(I have Haer Dalis in my party for the first time and i'm wondering if the harp icon is worth clicking, but I'm not able to detect any effect when I activate it)

Thanks everybody in advance

What HD's bard song does 'exactly' I don't know, but I do know that as part of the blade kit, the song doesn't improve with higher levels and is therefore arguably not very useful (maybe provides a small thac0 bonus?) -- improved bard song (if you've got ToB) is well worth the wait...

Being more clear, i'm wondering what kind of "improvement" standard bard's song gets (and Haer Dalis' doesn't!)

(I know about Improved Bard Song... It kinda ROCKS)

But the standard one?

Oh sorry...I've no idea what the standard bard song offers other than my guess that it improves thac0. Bruce Lee is the resident bard expert but I think he's on holiday...and he didn't provide cover. :) :D

AFAIK, it grants +1 to LUCK.
So, it's +1 to almost all rolls: to hit, to save, and so on.
Now don't ask me what does "so on" mean, though! :o

"Nobody really knows".

Funny, it turned out my question wansn't as silly as i thought! :)

The works-like-a-luck-spell idea sounds good. Where did it come from?
