Bragging and questions !

Post by Kerwyn »

Just killed my first Golden saint !! Im lvl 18-19, Khajiit assasin... is that a normal lvl to be when u can take on a golden saint ? Ohh, i couldnt face it in melee, i used my bonemold bow and silver arrows.

My question concerns light armor/s. I heard all this great stuff about glass armor... where can i find some ?
And would someone care to post the different kinds of light armor that can be found.

I also tried enchanting my bonemold bow with poison damage, but made it have a special ability to throw a poison damage spell instead.
I wanted it to deal out poison damage when i hit sumthing with an arrow... what did i do wrong ? Wrong spell (Deadly poison, Destruction: Poison 1-20 points for 10 secs on touch) ? Wrong type of enchantment ?

Thx, Kerwyn.

Well done - I killed my first Golden Saint at about level 20 or so...didn't know what it was though so didn't soultrap :( Oh, and all that stuff about them having Daedric Tower shields? It had a Netch Leather shield :p

Types of light armour:
Netch Leather
Boiled Leather
(Grr there's another one but I can't remember it...will edit :) )
Chitin
Glass

The only armour there really worth getting is the Glass, but it is really good. I'm not a Light Armour expert, or I'd know where the full set can be found (Vivec, behind a locked door behind someone in the Fighters Guild? Don't take my word on that  )

Did you change the enchantment type to "Cast on Strike" from "Cast when Used" that is the default? You have to do this after you've chosen the weapon. If you don't, the enchantment will default to "Cast when Used" which is what you have.

what is the charge from a war-wizard skeleton?

Glass armor can be found in the house Hlaalu vault, a complete set, which will be given to you if you complete their quests. There is a glass tower shield where you find bonebiter bow.
A partial set of glass can be found in Al'druhn, in the fighters guild, easiest way is to quicksave and steal percius mercius' key to let yourself in the level 80 door, but I got it at level 1, you could probably pick the lock by now.

"sort of a spoiler" You can get a glass cuirass, boots, and greaves from a Hlaalu quest given by Nileno Dorvayn in Balmora's Hlaalu manor. I beleive it is the 7th quest she gives you and there's a choice to kill a guy or talk to another guy, if you do both you get the glass armor pieces!

i think the easies place to get a full set of glass is an armorer in the lower part of the tower of dawn (i think it's dawn at least) at ghostgate. you will need some means of casting invisibility or 100% chameleon to get it though (or you can kill the armorer).

oh, i was around level 10 when i trapped me my first golden saint. i summoned it (using an enchanted ring i created for the occasion) just to kill it for it's soul. evil, aren't i? :D . the weapon i used was a bound longbow w/ marksmanship ~60. i did have to drink two potions that regenerate around 20 health/s for half a minute (self-brewed).

Cuirass of Saviors Hide (ac 266, resist magicka 60% constant effect light chest piece) in a chest at the top of Tel Fyr (have to levitate up the shaft)

Boots of the Apostle (ac 266, lev 30 to 40... 790 charges) Go to Berandas (that's southeast
