Sorry, it was definitely funny. However if you want sympathy...
Poor Dottie, that sounds horrible. :( *Snigger*
A friend of mine tried dying his hair pale blonde once, it turned the most awful, obviously unnatural red color. :D
What color is your hair naturally @Dottie?

Even better was a schoolmate who tried to bleach his hair with red highlights - rather predictably, he was ginger for a month or two :D

My point exactly...i think :D Why don't you try to sue the company after all they did not properly indemnify themselves against people not reading the warnings :D

So you should be! :D

Yes, me too! :D

@Dottie - that is hilarious! :D

A few years ago, during our goth stage, my sister and I were dying our hair black (as was the norm) only we were running late. She decided (not so wisely) that she would wash the dye out whilst in the shower and kill two birds with one stone :rolleyes: What actually happened was the dye washed over her and coloured her purple! :D :D We were late getting out that night...

@Ysh: lol, the problem is that during such incidents you wont get a nice even purple colour, otherwise it wouldnt be so much trouble. :D

During my highschool years a girl friend of mine and her friends decided to dye theirs black...without warning me.

I showed up on friday to pick her up from her friends house and low and behold..I thought.." Have they become witches?" :D :D

(I never follow the trend...rarely keep up with trend...yes I will be driven crazy by my kid) :D

There's a very good chance that your kid will be driven crazy by you as well, especially in the teenage years ;)

But then, we were also trying to avoid being considered 'norma'l... ;)

I am the least trendy I know, as in what the majority take pains to follow, but these days I guess I am more conservative :rolleyes: My kids are in school...their friends talk and compare...and I guess I am getting older too :)

An old friend of mine - who is a year older than I - still looks like a witch ;) Her kid is now 16. She has kept his hair long (never cut it) until the point he will make up his own mind, she has picked him up from school looking evil enough to scare his peers. As much as I understand her determination to be 'herself' there is a time it starts to impress on more than your own circle of friends...like it or not *shrugs* I don't want to have happen to my kids what happened to hers - that his friends were too afraid to come back...that they ridicule...sad but true :( I believe that a kid should be given the opportunity to fit in with his peers...parents aside - since there comes a time parents are always embarrassing - I thought it selfish that she grew her kids hair and made him stand out. In one sense he has probably grown to defend himself, but for why? because it is what his mum would like? I feel kids have enough challenges than to have our own preferences imposed on them :)
