Imperial Legion Mission in Ald-ruhn

I'm stuck in an Imperial Legion mission revolving around the smuggling activities of Drinar Varyon. I'm asked to search his house for Dwemer artifacts but even if i kill Varyon and unlock the treasure chests in his house there wasn't any artifacts to be found. People in Ald-ruhn aren't helping much too

what should i do to complete this mission?
